José Luis Navedo 

Is seasoned business continuity professional with 28 years of experience in the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery field. A former certified instructor for the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII), Mr. Navedo is a Managing Director at Business Continuity Professionals (BCP).

José Luis has successfully managed numerous large scale business continuity and disaster recovery projects for Government agencies, Telecommunications, Financial Services and other industries in the Caribbean Basin and Latin America. These projects have included: Risk Analysis; Business Impact Analysis (BIA); Crisis Communications, Incident Management, Emergency Response Plans, Disaster Recovery Plans and Business Continuity Programs.

Mr. Navedo’s strong business insight combined with his extensive project management expertise have helped businesses increase the value of their IT resources, evaluate risk and facilitate continuous availability structures through business continuity initiatives. His efforts have provided sensible and cost effective solutions to numerous public and private organizations while improving their operational efficiency, continuity and recovery resources. 

Mr. Navedo holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Phoenix and a BA in Business Administration, Finance and Marketing from the University of Puerto Rico.

José Luis is a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certified Business Resilience Professional (CBRP), Certified Associate Business Manager (CABM) and Certified Information Systems Professional (CIS).  He is a member of the Association of Professionals in Business Management and the Business Resilience Certification Consortium International.  He is also a co-founder and active member of the Association of Contingency Planners - Puerto Rico Chapter.

Mr. Navedo is a professor of Business Continuity Management at the Graduate Program at the Sacred Heart University of Puerto Rico.
